Buzzy can easily work in tandem with an auto-injector, just like other injections.
Simply place Buzzy over the injection area for 30-60 seconds before moving 2cm proximal from the injection site. Then make the injection in the place where Buzzy used to be.
For Arm Injections
Recently we've discovered a new method of placement for injections into the deltoid. Place Buzzy in the crook of the shoulder. Our understanding is that this activates multiple different nerve pathways at once, crowding pain signals out of the spine. For a more traditional Buzzy approach or for areas lower in the arm, the nerves run straight down. Place Buzzy® “between the brain and the pain”.
For Stomach Injections

For stomach injections, the nerves run sideways coming around from the back towards the belly button. Again, leave the Buzzy® 30 – 60 seconds (the skin is thinner here, so the cold may get TOO cold), then slide 2cm lateral out to the side and do the injection where the Buzzy® used to be.
For Injections in the Thigh
Place Buzzy where the injection will go. Nerves wrap around the outside of the thigh towards the back, so move Buzzy along the nerve pathway (proximal) 2cm and make the injection where Buzzy used to be. Be sure to follow any specific instructions from your doctor when administering medication yourself.
For Finger Sticks
For fingersticks, either place Buzzy® at the base of the finger for pricks on the pad, or as close as possible on the side (where there are fewer nerves).
