How do you disinfect Pain Care Labs Products?
Cleaning Buzzy® Healthcare:
Buzzy® HealthCare is a reusable medical device that should be thoroughly cleaned and reprocessed following your facility’s infection control protocol for non-critical equipment. All accessories must be cleaned and disinfected with your facility’s disinfecting wipes or method used to reprocess non-critical equipment such as stethoscopes or patient monitors. Do not autoclave [steam sterilize]. Do not immerse in liquid.
Cleaning Buzzy® Personal:
Cleaning VibraCool®:
VibraCool® soft goods can be machine washed; be sure to attach velcro to avoid damaging other items in wash. The VibraCool® vibration unit may be cleaned with alcohol-based sanitation wipes. Do not autoclave [steam sterilize]. Do not immerse in liquid. Soiled ice packs should be disposed of and replaced.
Chemical Compatibility of Buzzy & VibraCool Plastic with Common Medical Cleaners
Our products' polycarbonate is widely used in medical devices due to its strength, clarity, and biocompatibility.
However, it is vulnerable to certain classes of disinfectants and cleaners that can cause
stress cracking, discoloration, and mechanical degradation over time.
This following outlines which cleaners are generally safe and which are known to cause
issues based on manufacturer’s testing and published compatibility data.
